Pohutukawa II

The Phohutukawa tree is known as the New Zealand Christmas tree due to its bright red flowers. In 1990 it was an endangered species with 90% of costal pohutukawa stands gone. However, thanks to the work of DOC and Project  Crimson more than 300,000 native trees have been planted, saving these magnificent trees. Unfortunately they are not safe yet and still need our continued help to protect them. Size: 7CM
