This is a beautifully handcarved Whale Bone Hei Matau by Anthony Bray-Heta.

Two koru are carved on each side.

Carved both sides and finished with plaited dark brown cord, lashed around the top.

A bone bead secures the taonga

Carved from stranded whale bone.
