INFORMATION & RECOMMENDATIONS:

• Your taonga has been individually hand carved and slight variations may occur.
• These bone taonga can have curves due to the natural shape of the bone from which it has been carved (generally the femur). There may also be slight natural staining in parts.
• Beef bone is a porous medium, therefore it will absorb body oils and cosmetics over time, causing the bone to stain.
• We recommend that you clean your taonga using warm soapy water with a cloth or a soft brush, and allow the taonga, the lashing and cord to dry completely. We recommend that you do not try to clean using bleach as this will remove the polished finish.
• Bone will break or chip if dropped.
• Remove your taonga while bathing, showering or engaging is strenuous activities. This will preserve your taonga and also delay the deterioration of the cord.
